INFORMATION FOR NEW PATIENTS

Information for New Patients: Services

Tuesdays 8am to 1pm

Wednesdays 8am to 530pm

Fridays 8am to 5pm

PROFESSIONAL FEES:

Initial Consultation/Assessment (60-90 minutes)                               $400

Psychotherapy with/without med management (50-55 minutes)    $275

Brief psychotherapy/medication follow up (about 25 minutes)       $195


Additional services such as record review, completion of forms, prior authorizations, disability paperwork, scheduled phone consults -  billed in 15 minute increments prorated at $390/hr at Dr. Harrison's discretion.

PAYMENT/BILLING

My patients pay directly for all professional services.  The full fee is due at time of service.
I accept checks, cash, or Venmo.  When possible please have checks written before session to allow full use of our time to focus on your care.
At your request I can provide you a Good Faith Estimate.
Medical Insurance:
I am an Out of Network Provider.  I do not contract with any insurance and opt-out of Medicare.  Please be aware that if you have Medicare you will be unable to submit for reimbursement to your secondary insurance.  Insurance will still provide coverage for medication and lab work consistent with your plan.
I can provide you with a receipt including diagnosis and billing procedure codes.  Some PPO plans allow for out of network reimbursement.  Any reimbursement you are entitled to is an arrangement between you and your insurance company.

MISSED APPOINTMENTS/LATE CANCELLATIONS

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy (following our first appointment).  You will be responsible for the complete session fee if cancelling less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. 
A $25 fee will be charged for any “ Bounced” or Returned Checks

AVAILABILITY BETWEEN SESSIONS

In case of medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911 go to your nearest emergency room. I do not interrupt patient sessions or certain personal activities to answer phone calls.  I do check my voice mail regularly.  For urgent  issues I will make every effort to return calls within 24 hours, and preferably the day of call.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Unless you provide me with written authorization to disclose information to another individual or agency, anything that you share with me is completely confidential. However, under California State Law, the following exceptions exist:

    1) a client presents a danger to self or others,
    2) an incident of suspected child abuse or neglect occurs,
    3) an incident of suspected elder abuse or neglect occurs,
    4) a court order is issued,
    5) actions are necessary to collect payment, or
    6) an insurance company requests information for reimbursement of services.
